Job Description

Akkodis is seeking an Automation Robotics Engineer for a Contract with a client in Redford, MI. The ideal candidate will design and deploy industrial robotic automation solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency, safety, and operational performance across production environments.


Rate Range: $40/Hour to $42/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Automation Robotics Engineer Responsibilities include:

• Lead the development, integration, and deployment of industrial robotic systems to support manufacturing operations and automation initiatives.
• Program, commission, troubleshoot, and optimize robotic applications to improve safety, quality, productivity, and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, controls, engineering, suppliers, and system integrator teams to implement scalable automation solutions.
• Develop and maintain standardized robotic programs, templates, and automation architectures to support operational consistency.
• Support robot-to-PLC integration, industrial networking, and data connectivity for advanced manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Analyze technical issues, drive root-cause resolution, and manage multiple automation projects to ensure successful implementation and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience programming, integrating, commissioning, or troubleshooting industrial robotic systems within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with industrial automation, PLC-to-robot integration, controls systems, and manufacturing network communications.
• Strong knowledge of FANUC and/or ABB robotic systems, robotic cell safety, and advanced manufacturing technologies including Industry 4.0 applications.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $42.00 per hour
