The Production Manager works under minimum supervision in a team environment to oversee production operations and plant personnel.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupervises production operations in Furnace, Spray Dry and ShippingAssure appropriate resources are in place (raw materials, packaging materials, people, etc…) to meet production orders.Maintains quality control of production unit(s).Maintains safe working conditions and practices.Assures environmental control of facility as required by permits and regulations.Communicates problems, instructions, observations, and information to others as needed.Participates in plant-wide quality, HSES, and productivity initiatives.Supports, implements, and participates in ISO 9001:2000 and RC14001 activities.Participates on Safety Committee.Participates in HSE activities (i.e., Toolbox meetings, Accident investigations, Near misses, etc.).Comply with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations and requirements.Comply with company policies.Other duties as assigned or required.Qualifications Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the chemical industry in a manufacturing environment3years of supervisory/management experience with increasing responsibility4-year college Degree in technical field and/or equivalent job experience preferredFamiliarity with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) rules and regulationsFamiliarity with management systems such as ISO 9001 and RC14001Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.Additional Information EHS ResponsibilitiesCommunicates, promotes and personally demonstrates Safety/Health (including PQP Principles) as #1 priorityParticipation in risk assessment audits as applicableUnderstand PQ Principles (PQP) and how they are implemented in the site organization, rules and proceduresCompletes HSE training requirements identified for the job in a timely mannerPQ is an equal opportunity employer.
